JadePaint Privacy Policy

Overview

JadePaint ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application that converts photos and text prompts into paint-by-numbers templates. This Privacy Policy explains what information JadePaint handles, why it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.

Information we handle

• Sign in with Apple identifier: JadePaint uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. We never receive your Apple password. Apple provides a stable identifier that keeps generation jobs private to your account. It is stored with your temporary jobs on our server.
• Name and email address: if you choose to share them, Apple may provide a first name and an email address, which may be an Apple private relay address. They are placed in the signed session token stored on your device and may be checked by our server while servicing an authenticated request. JadePaint does not persist them in its server database, use them to contact you, or use them for marketing.
• Photos you select: images used to create a painting are sent to our backend and an AI image provider for stylization and conversion.
• Text prompts: descriptions used to create artwork are sent to our backend and an AI image provider.
• On your device: finished projects, reference artwork, and painting progress are stored in the app's local files. Your session token is stored in the iOS Keychain.

JadePaint does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not collect advertising identifiers, location, contacts, microphone recordings, biometric data, or cross-app tracking data.

Photo selection

• Choose Photo uses Apple's system photo picker. JadePaint does not request full access to your photo library and receives only the image you explicitly select.

JadePaint does not request camera access. You can also create artwork from a text prompt without selecting a photo.

How we use your information

We use this information only to authenticate you, keep your jobs private, turn selected photos and prompts into paint-by-numbers artwork, keep an in-progress generation running if you close the app, and operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Service providers and sharing

• Sign in with Apple, for authentication.
• Google Gemini, for AI image generation and photo stylization.
• Railway, for hosting JadePaint's backend and temporary job storage.

Photos and prompts are provided to Google Gemini only to generate or stylize the artwork you request. Railway processes data only as needed to host the JadePaint service. We use these providers only to deliver JadePaint's functionality and require them to protect user data consistently with this policy and applicable law.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it to track you across apps or websites. Users cannot see one another's photos, prompts, or paintings.

Data retention and security

• On JadePaint's server: a generation job may contain your uploaded photo or prompt, account identifier, and resulting artwork. It is deleted as soon as the app successfully downloads it and automatically expires after seven days in all cases.
• With service providers: providers may process request data under their applicable data-processing and retention terms.
• On your device: finished projects and progress remain until you delete the project or uninstall JadePaint. Session tokens expire automatically and are removed when you sign out or delete your account.

JadePaint uses encrypted HTTPS connections for data in transit and scopes every server job to the Apple account that created it.

Your choices

• Delete an individual painting from the Gallery to remove its local project and any associated in-progress server job.
• Settings → Account → Delete account permanently erases all data JadePaint's server holds for your account and signs you out. Finished paintings stored on that device are kept unless you delete them or uninstall the app.
• Manage or stop using Sign in with Apple for JadePaint from your Apple Account settings.
• Choosing an existing image with Apple's photo picker does not give JadePaint ongoing photo-library access.

Children's privacy

JadePaint is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version is always posted at this URL with an updated date.
